where are you guys putting aftermarket gauges?

where are you guys putting aftermarket gauges?

i like keeping close tabs on my motor as i have alot invested in it and was curious to know where you guys are putting gauges.

heres what i got:

which i think came out great, but in order to do my setup you cant have heat or ac

i was thinking of making a filler plate over the little cd holder thing on the lt1 consoles, anyone do this?

or even if you guys have some cool ideas lets see em! oh and post pictures of what you got

in most cases no, there are exceptions however.

i just kinda think it screams obnoxious teenager racer you know? i like a more subtle installation that almost looks factory. and also everyone has them .. its cool to have something different

I like the pillar gauges because you don't have to cut up your interior. I don't have them, but thats why I like them. As long as I can see oil pressure, temp, fuel, rpm's, mph, im good to go. Once the bottle goes in, chances are I may add a few gauges.

I may eventually do a setup simialr to the new 2010 camaros, i have that open space in front of the shifter where i can place guages. Now just to mount them etc..

Why not move the hvac controls to the area under the cd player?

sounds like ALOT of work

does anyone know of a place that sells the full A pillar gauge cluster for camaros?

Yup, just a piece of plexiglass painted satin black. It doesn't really show in the pic but I also have the Autometer angle bezels so they are facing up to the drivers line of site.
