I have a 1969 z 28. I'm in the middle of restoring the interior and replacing the floor pans. In the dismantling stage I found a part that needs replacing due to rust but I can't seem to find a place to purchase it anywhere. The part I'm looking for runs paralell to the sill plate but sits under the carpet. It attatches directly to the body and looks like it is meant to hold the carpet away from the inside edge of the floor pan. It is made out of sheet metal, runs the length of the door and is now severly rusted.

Any names for the part would help. So would a location to puchase one.
