Do I have to get one from a dealer? How much are they?

Dealer is the only place, that would sell parts like that. Call and find out a price.

I just replaced mine last week. I drive a v6 and the dealer wanted over $50 for it. Advance auto parts (same as checker autoparts, I think) had it for $33. You can even order it online. Mine works fine although the gasket on this new part isn't as great as the GM one, that and its plastic.
