Where to buy a resistor for VATS delete online
I ran all over town looking for one yesterday, even radio shack didnt have one small enough they said.
So is there any electronic shops online that are good for this kinda stuff?
Also, i took the key to the dealer to test the ohms or whatever, and they said it just told them it was a 4, i guess the machine just tells which number key they need to make a new one...would that correspond to the numberhere on shoebox's website?

It's posiible. That is the GM lookup chart. I'm in the process of making a VATS bypass box to keep at work so when a car comes in with a bad key or ign cyl I can just plug it in so we can move it without pushing it. I if I find a good site I will link you

Take an 800 Ohm , an 80 Ohm and a 7 Ohm resistor, and combine them in series so you have a string of 3 resistors. If you can't find an 800 Ohm, you can just use two 400s or even eight 100s.
Understanding resistor value is simple. There are many sites out there that are helpful such as this one. I hope I am not insulting your intellegence by being so elementary, but I figured it is better to be more detailed than too little.
I hope this helps...
