When will it end? (Problems)

94 camaro z28
Window motors, power locks, trans mount, sway bar links, warped rotors, engine goes out, then opti then icm, then 3 coils, now it seems when everything is fixed trans starts slipping. When do you draw the line to stop dumping in more money. Worst reliable vehicle i have ever owned. If its not one thing its the other with this car. Wonder what will be next. I keep thinking well what else could go wrong, and things keep coming up. I do no abuse the car either.

check the fluid level.

Keep dumping till it runs out of problems or you run out of money

The joys of daily driving a 13 year old car. Buy something newer for reliable daily transportation and keep the Z28 for weekend fun. Or.... dump a ton of money into the Z28 and make it a reliable daily driver. Do a partial restoration on it and replace all the stuff that can go wrong.

What, the water pump hasn't taken a dump yet? Consider yourself very lucky. The answer to your question: The problems will never end. Buy a newer car if you want to delay the problems.

Those are pretty typical problems, as mentioned above, they can be considered normal wear.

Its not the age of the car thats the problem...

For example my 30+ year old Charger didnt have one technical problem prior to the start of this "build up"... Ran and drove great.

When you trade your car in... get used to it. It's a GM vehicle.

LOL, the above kinda sums it up. I like my '96 Z28. It has never left me on the side of the road, but it has had it's problems....and I still have to get the driver's side door hinge replaced(not tackling that one....leaving it for body shop....I don't have a good way to handle the door).

Hmm....problems from newest to oldest in 7 years...

-Window regulator's bolted to door...rivets loose, mounting holes "walloed"
-2 Power Window motors(just last week)
-4 Window stabilizers
-1 Driver's side top door weather strip
-1 Power steering pump
-1 Power steering rack
-1 Steering linkage
-1 Belt tensioner
-1 Temp sending unit(driver's side head)
-1 Power steering pump
-2 Power window motors
-1 Belt tensioner
-1 Bad Pinion bearing(all bearings in rear replaced)$500
-2 Warped heads(tore down; heads milled 0.005-0.010)$2,000
-1 Egr Valve
-1 Air Pump

My next big project is to pull the engine out of this thing.....looking to put headers, cam, roller rockers, and heads to this thing. Hopefully, I'll get started this winter on it.

Needless to say I have a Nissan as a daily driver now. However, I drove a 4th gen Camaro for 8 years straight though....4 years 3.8 V6, 4 years 5.7 V8.
Just to note, the only problem the 3.8 ever give me was bad plug wires....but I knew what I was getting into when I got the 5.7(been reading up here)....also, I had to have more horses and that V8 rumble!
