wheel hub question

preparing to do an LS1 brake upgrade, I checked the wheel hubs to see how well they spin, I compared them to a new one from the auto parts store. one spins with about the same amount of resistance, but the other spins more freely, I'd say it has about 1/2 of 1/3 of the resistance of the new wheel hub. Do you think this will be a problem, a bad bearing maybe? or is it fine?

If there's no play in it and it makes no noise I'd say it's fine. If you feel uncomfortable with it, now would probably be the perfect time to replace it.

As stated above, play is the measure of bearings failing. Remount your wheel and push on the top and bottom the side of the tire. There souldn't be any play.

If you need new hubs, best deal I found was through Autozone's internet site. They sell hubs with Timkin bearings (piece looks identical to the OEM parts externally) and they're about $115 each. When I bought mine about a year ago there was free shipping on any purchase over $75.
