what's a fair price?

someone i work with just offered me a 89 formula with a 396 and a built turbo400 which was just rebuilt, he wants 4k for it and it has 68k miles on body and 30k on motor. his issue is he is rejecting his kidney transplant and no longer drives it, too jarring to him. i know both of the guys who have owned it, including the original, so i kinda think i want it

the question is, how much should i ask for my car, 96 formula coupe, 6 spd, street/strip clutch, 73k miles. i cant have two toys right now and i would love to have a nice 3rd gen, my 96 was my first fbody, and i feel bad selling it but it's just a thought at this point

I bought my 96 stock w/ 30k on it for 7500, then again the trans was ****edup and had to be rebuilt, as well as the waterpump. M6's are rare for firebirds, at leaste finding one is around here. Id say you could get 6kish for your car.

I just picked up a 96 Z28 A4 with 90K in near mint condition for $4200, so I would assume yours to be worth about $5500-6k or so with less miles and an M6. At least in my area.
