Whats this deep into my dash?

Whats this deep into my dash?

when i went to replace my hazard flasher on my 94 b4c, i looked far far up into my dash and saw a little black box that looked to be factory but had little adjustable dials that have year, month, day marked on it.......is this in any way important?

no its actually close to the fuse panel on the left side of the steering column, i do not have a cam but even if i did, its really hard to see.

Are you sure the dials moved? I've seen a lot of plastic parts that have dial looking date stamps -but they're not moveable.
If they're moveable, run. It's a bomb!
