whats above the Panhard Bar

im new to these f bodys and i wanted to know what is above the panhard bar? it looks shot so i want to replace it but i dont know what the hell it is haha so help me out thanks.

yea same here i cant tell what it dose either its like a panhard bar but on a different downward angle

Its simply an "upper brace" to stabilize the large vertical arm on the passenger side of the body, that the panhard bar connects to. Its structural, has nothing to do with the suspension other than to strengthen the attachment point. Drag cars are sometimes run without it for weight savings.

All the forces in the panhard bar are side-to-side. The body attachment point is at the end of a long "lever arm". The upper brace helps the lever arm resist the forces imposed on it by the panhard rod.

yea i found panhard relocation kits that replace that bar
