What would cause SES afterplug and wire change?

What would cause SES afterplug and wire change?
I changed my wires to Taylor OTVC and put NK55 plugs in, about 2K ago. About once a week, the SES turns on. 50% of the time it turns itself off a couple of minutes later, the other half it's gone when I start the car again. What would cause this, the car doesn't drive any differently and the O2's are under 10K.

Have you done any other mods recently? It could be lots of things but EGR comes to mine. When i first did mine the SES light would come on randomly about once a week. Once i had it programmed out of my PCM no more random SES. It could be lots of things and we really are clueless with out a scanner.

I did take off the EGR, but after the SES was coming on. I did notice the car runs and accelerates better without it. Plus I'm getting 2mpg more. One day, I will send it to Ion for a tune.
