Unhappy what wires to jump to make window motor work Help please!

I could't find a better spot to put it so please bear with me if in wrong spot. I have a 97 ss with the window stuck have way down. if you slip the switch on and off the wire block it moves a little bit when you push the button. I just want to jump the wires to get it up and then to see if I need a motor or a swith or a wire plug. Which wires do what this is drivers side with a power window/lock/mirror car. Thanks a bunch!

I have same problem today I don't think jumping anything will help. If it moves a little, it's probably thermo-relay inside motor disconnecting power. You can try pulling window by hand and pressing button - works for me.

We prefer that you limit posts in "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech" to questions related directly to the engine. This is the busiest forum, and off-topic posts force the valid posts off the bottom of the page faster.

I'll move this to "General F-Body Tech & Info" for you......

Dark blue and brown, assuming everything else in the circuit is intact and functioning.

Jumping it won't help a dead motor, though.

the window goes up or down a bit then stops, I have a relay of some sort that makes a clicking noise by my steering column. Is this maybe the problem? When I jump the wires on the switch no change?

i was gonna post a new thread but then i came across this one.
last year b4 i put my car in storage i was having problems with my passenger side window goin down. my window switch panel is loose, the lil brackets broke, and i would have to wiggle the wires/switches to get the window to come down. now that the car is out of storage the window wont come down.
how would i go about making sure its the switches and not the motor? i see u talked about umping them, how do i go about doing that? put power and ground to them?
if that is the case, which one does the power/ground go to?
tia,
sorry for hijacking thread
