What will these do for my car power wise?
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...earchType=Make
I've got a little money to spend on my car, and now I want to work on performance. So, if I buy those, what difference will I see in performance?

Oh, didn't realize that.
I forgot their site uses frames. Here's the working link: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...7&autoview=sku

unless you're making enough hp to max out your current injectors..you won't see anything. could possibly lose hp unless the computer is tuned for the bigger units.
there are better ways to improve hp.
have you thought of a cam? how bout valve springs and roller tip rockers, possibly higher ratio? intake manifold? lighter driveshaft?

from Jegs:
here is a cam for the v6, not sure if it requires new springs or not.
go down to chevy 60* V6 it lists 1.52 and 1.6 ratio.
or summit racing:
edelbrock intake manifold
cam and lifter set from edelbrock

Doesn't the engine have to be removed to install a new cam? Are you sure that manifold will work? It talks about carbureted setups in the description, I have fuel injection, does it matter? The link for the cam and lifter set is wrong, it takes me to the page about the manifold.

Re: What will these do for my car power wise?
to change the cam,u would just have to take out the fan/fans,radiator and the A/C condencer (the small radiator lookin thing for the a/c). but no,the motor doesnt have to come out the change the cam.
i have heard NO good things about Edelbrock cams,so I wouldnt go that route.
i saw that link too man,but i know they make performer and performer RPM intakes for TBI cars and trucks, just seach around on summit or jegs, maybe try a search for TBI and see what comes up!
hope this helps

Right now, I'm looking at new rockers and a new intake manifold. Possibly the cam now since I know that I don't have to take out the engine.
What kind of increase would I see if I replaced the rocker arms? What kind of increase would I see if I replaced the rocker arms and the intake? Hopefully I can afford both at once so I can do it all in one day.
Thanks for the info.

Will this work on my car? http://www.jegs.com//cgi-bin/ncommer...19&prmenbr=361
It's the only one that I could find that will work on a fuel injected V6. It says for 4.3L and I have a 3.1L.
On those rockers, is there any specific ratio I should get?

Re: What will these do for my car power wise?
This is going to be a pain in the *** to find parts that will work with this engine. The 3.1 doesn't have many parts available.

Re: What will these do for my car power wise?
I doubt any 4.3L parts will work. The 4.3L is the Chevy 90-degree V6, which is basically a 350 SBC with two fewer cylinders. You have a 3.1L from the GM 60-degree V6 family (2.8, 3.1, 3.4, 3.5).
I'd try looking for S-10 and Fiero parts, those are other popular hop-up vehicles with those engines.
Here are a couple links to get you started:
http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/
http://www.fierosails.com/fierosecrets.html
Though, the 60-degree family was never really designed to be a high-performance engine and has a lot of "issues" from that perspective. I don't know what your emissions situation is, but a V8 swap might be a better alternative.

Re: What will these do for my car power wise?
I may just leave it as is for now and sell it in a few years and buy a 3rd gen with a V8 already in it. If gas wasn't so high, I woulda done that from the start. *sigh*

Re: What will these do for my car power wise?
Yeah it's expensive, though I will say that the EFI cars get pretty good mileage as high performance cars go.
Originally I was going to get a TPI 350, but LT1 cars were cheaper when I was shopping.
