what resistor do i use to bypass the VATS??

Do they not just sell ONE resistor that is in the range of 1100-1150 ? I'm about to bypass my vats as my security light comes on with just about every other time I try to start it up.

Also, the key's for our cars are the #5 key which is valued at 1130 ohms?

The selection of resistor values varies. And no, the value is not #5. That is merely one of 15 possibilities. My Tech Page has lots of info about the VATS.

okay, thanks ill look into it. Tired of the security light and the 3 minute wait.
