What Makes Roller Rockers Loud?

Why is it that roller rockers are louder than the stock rocker arms? I would have thought that with the bearings they would actually be quieter and smoother. Just got kind of curious that night when I was adjusting mine and wanted to see if anyone knew the reason.

Re: What Makes Roller Rockers Loud?

all the small clearances in the bearings add up to a louder unit.

My comp cam pro-mags are not loud at all. You can here low volume ticking only with the hood up. Hood down I cant tell they are in there.

Yeah i figured that it was something with the clearance between the bearings and walls.

As the roller bearings reverse themselves.
