What is the location of the ground for the brake lights?

What is the location of the ground for the brake lights?
1996 formula here
the screw bolted to the trunk popper bracket doesn't seem to be it, as it makes no difference when i remove it.
when the lights are off, the pass. side brake light is out
when the lights are on, the driver side brake light is out
3rd brake light stays on regardless
taillights all work fine
and wherever the brake lights are out, the turn signals and hazards don't flash there
i want to check the ground but i do not know where it is
