I'm trying to measure the reistance in my key. I have the multimeter set at 2k ohm. The reading I'm getting is .521 to .522 I though the reading was going to give me a whole number like 1.0 2.0 ohm etc. Giving you the key code as 1 or 2 etc.

Occasionally my car won't start due to the security light and I'm guessing the key is going bad. Any ideas of what key code mine is?
