What is involved in changing the instrument panel backlight color?

I would like to change the light on my instrument panel to red so that is matches the paint color and just so that it is different from every other 3rd gen camarp. I need to know what is involved in changing the instrument panel backlight color and what kind of lights it uses to light it up. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

If the lighting is the same as in the 4th gens. You have to pull the speedo out, take the back cover off. Each area of the speedo is lite by a quarter turn bulb. You can pull the light out of the 1/4 turn mounting bracket and put a new one/color in. Some, you want to keep white, as they go through a green lens. After you have the lights in, hook it back up only, don't mount it. Throw a towel over you head or something else to see if the lights all light up. Learned that the hard way. I did red, but after awhile, it was a pain, didn't really look like the newer cars at all, so I changed mine back. Also, noticed that the color bulbs burn out pretty quick, which is a pain to change again and again.
