Battery went dead in my car and I used a marine/auto battery charger. I attatched the negative cable to the alternator bracket and connected the red to the battery.

Battery is now charged but fuel gauge is pegged? Did I short something or trip a circuit? Please help!

 

did you fill it with gas? lol. Definatly an electrical problem, I think the fuel sensor is in the back though and goes to the pcm. Is there anything else out of wack or is the fuel sensor the only thing?

i dont know how to fix it, but next time disconnet your battery before charging it i guess.

 

Yeah, i wouldn't have charged the batter like that.
