How do i figure out what gears I have?

If you think they are stock, look at the RPO code sticker on the driver's door. There will be a GU- code.

GU2 : AXLE REAR, 2.73 RATIO

GU4 : AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO (V6)

GU5 : AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO

GU6 : AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO

If not stock, raise the rear of the car and turn the rear wheel one turn and count how many turns the driveshaft makes. ex. Approximately three and a quarter turns of the driveshaft would be 3.23s.

 

3.42s.

 

If you're looking for an upgrade, for a M6 put some 4.10's in there.
