Car is 30 years old at this point, I'd like to replace the fuel system to help assure continuing reliability.
Looking at fuel injectors. What do I purchase to replace the set of 8 OEM injectors?
I know I need 24# injectors, and I've read the impedance needs to be right as well.
I'm looking at the big auction site and it is confusing. Is part number 17095004 correct?
I see sets of rebuilt OEM injectors being sold, saying they have been cleaned and tested and flow matched for under $70 for a set of 8. They look like stock injectors in the photos. Is this a solid option, or a bad idea? Is there a different route I should be going? Is there a good option for a new part that will work as well as OEM in my car?
I believe he sells both new and rebuilt. Also rebuilds the stock GM Multec injectors. Problem is not always in stock. He has some great videos comparing the various injectors used in the LT1, including a counterfeit:
Thanks for the recommendation, it's just outside my budget for this to buy brand new. I'm going to try the rebuilt stock route.
I just ordered a set of 8 of these off the big auction site for $69.49. I'll post my results. Wish me luck? It's a gamble!

What I received from the seller was not what was pictured in the auction listing. I received some new unbranded aftermarket injectors.
Just for grins I tried them in the car. It started and died several times before I could keep it running with my foot. After a while it figured out an idle. If I gave it any throttle at all it would fall on its face.
I'm returning them.
I found a guy with a set of OEM RP injectors he had recently cleaned and tested for leaks on Facebook in the LT1 swap meet group.
Unfortunately there are a huge amount of Chinese counterfeit injectors being sold on eBay, Amazon, etc. That's why it's best to deal with a reliable source like FIC, Racetronix, etc.. While real ones seem expensive, they are the next-to-final step in the combustion ( = HP ) process. A faulty set of injectors can easily “undo” the promise of a lot of very expensive engine modifications.
The Bosch Gen 4 injectors have two primary benefits:
1. They maintain a finer atomization in the larger injectors (beyond 24 lbs); the Gen 3 and Gen 4 are essentially identical in the smaller injectors 2. They are way faster with shorter response times than the Gen 3s; this is particularly important when you get into the larger injectors that have had the holes enlarged (that reduces the response times) or when you're running @ more than 3 bar pressures as the increase in pressure further reduces the response times
