Hi everyone, its been a few years since I last posted here because I sold my 94 Z28 but have recently bought a Red 97 SS. My question is on the drivers door there are 5 decals, one small one at the top and 4 larger rectangular ones under them right down to the bottom of the door frame. I dont know how to post a pic or I would, I have one but I dont have my own site or anything like that. Back to the question, the 4th decal down has been peeled off. The remaining decals have my VIN, the option codes and 2 SLP decals with build date and so on, cant seem to figure out what could possibly be on the missing one. Any help would be great.

There is usually a tire pressure decal. Do you have that one?

 

I think shoebox has it. I just checked 2 96SSs and one has 3 large stickers and the other has 4 At any rate, the one with 4 has the tire loading data on the bottom sticker. The one with just 3 doesn't have the option codes decal... not sure why but it doesn't appear like it has ever been peeled off or anything. Hmm?

The RPO codes on my '94 are in the glove box. I thought they didn't start putting them on the door jam until '97, but I could be wrong.

 

Mine could be a late 96?

That sticker on my SS with the same number of stickers tells the date of manufacture, vehicle weight, and vin # and some other text but that's the main stuff

 

That's what I was thinking. GVWR; production date etc.

 

Thanks for posting the pics, I noticed on the one pic that it has the modified by slp date rather than the actual car production date and GVW info as well according to slp but not gm's specs. Its not a big deal, just wondered and figured you guys could help and you did.

Im sure Ill have more questions in the near future.
