What is this? ASR or Cruise Control?

What is this? My ASR or Cruise Control? If it's the cruise control, It's gone! My car is on a SERIOUS diet! Just removed the A/C. and about to take out the back seats. I know, I need to ditch the EGR, but I need to have it tuned out so I don't get a check light.

Pic works for me...

It's the circular box that connects to the throttle cable. It looks like Cruise or ASR. I was told it's for both. I'd like to loose it, but if it's for ASR I'll have to keep it.

That's ASR. My car only has cruise, and it's just an extra cable connected to the TB that comes in across the top of the motor ... but it looks like the ASR does double-duty and controls the cruise as well? I'd get rid of ASR if I had it . If you just disconnected that box though, the ASR would probably start throwing codes??

Cruise is actually a large box located under the front drivers side fender area.

Seeing as how I do not have ASR and do not have that item, I will concur that it may very well be ASR.

I've never really paid attention (or cared?) where the cruise cable actually goes to. The ASR box just looks like it's in the way?

When I slid into the snowbank 4 years ago, I cracked that Cruise box open. It was part of the dammage. I don't think it ever worked. I'll trace the cable back and see if I can delete the cruise. THe way I see it is, one cable comming form the throttle in the car, one for Cruise and the cable on the right goes to the throttle.

I'm trying to figure a way to do a remote mount for the ASR/Cruise box... if that makes sense. I'd have to move the wiring back.
