What is this on a 1995 LT1 A4 Camaro Z28?
Wondering what part I am looking at as it is connected by a metal brake line pipe diameter and looking part which time and the elements have beaten up and am trying to decide just how important it is.
Don't have a picture.
It is in the void below the stock air filter immediately behind the left turn signal unit in the "bumper" area. Would be immediately adjacent to the air filter on a K&N FIPK. Immediately below this part is also those air opening louvers in that black plastic. This area is the mirror to what you would have to get into to change the horns. The interesting part is contained within a sheet metal formed box.
There is a pipe that enters it which is protected by a rubber hose looking sheath which goes back down the left side of the engine down in the area just above the swap bar then heads up a little where the rubber hose protection stops and looks very similar to brake piping.
Haven't been able to get under and follow the pipe back any further.
What am I looking at here?
Thanks,
Stephen

And it's not a brake line attached to it. It's a throttle cable the goes up along the inner top edge of the fender, makes a u-turn at the firewall, and comes forward to connect to the throttle body quadrant (assuming you do not have ASR/traction control. With ASR the cable connects to the servo-motor sitting on top of the driver side valve cover).
