WELDERS come in quick question

Heres the problem, my breslin locking header bolts have a locking pin on the inside of the bolt that has a hex key head on them, however i have little to no clearance to turn an allen wrentch under the hood, so i thought i may be able to cut a allen wrench in half and position it in a "T" shape and weld it together to use it like a chuck key on a drill except to tighten these internal header bolts. my question is, is it possible to lay a weld on an allen wrench? my MIG is out at our shop about an hour from my house so thats the only reason im asking and not trying it out. thanks

I don't see why it wouldn't work.
