I have been toying with the idea of weight reduction. I want to keep the seats and radio creature comforts. I was looking into removing bumper supports and poss other stuff. will removing bumper supports cause the bumper to deform? any other stuff that I can get rid of that isn't really seen?

 

abs, air bags, cruise control, sound deadening material in carpet, front sway bar, spare tire/jack, the bumper supports like you said (just dont let anyone sit on them) are a few things that pop to my mind off the bat..

 

Rule of thumb, every 100lbs you lighten the car is 1/1oth of ET improvement in the 1/4 mile.

 

I really wanted 12.99 but with a 3500 dump let my clutch slip like crazy but I ran a 1.86 60ft with 13.20 1/4 on before witha 3200 dump. I want less weight and 4000 dump with my spec 2 hopefully 12 sec pass
