Water in tail lights

I have a 99 TA and I have water in my tail lights which causes the reverse lights to get condensation in them. Has anyone else had this problem and how could i fix it? Is it just the rubber grometts where the lights screw in or is it something else?

I have the same the same problem. It's very common on 98+ firebirds. If water has been in there for a while then the chrome reflective materials probably all mucked up now so the tail light will most likely need replacing. I'm in the same boat.

Re: Water in tail lights

hey your from savannah too!!!

i have the same prob on my 93. the water enters around the outer edge of mine close to where the lense meets the housing of the light. i put some silicone around the edges of the housing to fix mine but my lense is cracked now so water gets in anyways.
