i have a 97 z28 30th fully stock... and my water pump went this evening.. before i get into ripping it apart i thought i would ask and see if there is anything i should look out for?? or if there is any tricks to make it go alot smoother??? this is my biggest challange yet with this car and this site has helped me out alot in the past so thanks for all your help

 

I just did mine about 2 months ago. It's a pretty straight forward task. Put lots of paper towels/rags over the opti/under the water pump so it does not get wet. It's not that big of a challenge once you get it done, but pretty satisfying. You do not need to remove any of the pullies or fan assembly. The pump needs to be wiggled/jigsawed out of place on the passenger side. You'll know what I'm talking about once you get there.
