water leaking in from under dash

has anyone else experienced this problem? ive got water leaking into my car and its coming in from under the dash. ive got the carpet out of the car, but i havent removed the plastic at the base of the windshield on the outside or anything from under the dash. im thinking and hoping something with the fresh air intake for the cabin is leaking, but im not sure. so i figured id ask if anyone else has had this problem and what it turned out to be for them? thanks

If its on the passanger side its most likely the heater core. Does it smell like coolant? Cause thats what it is

no guys, water when it rains is coming in. its not the heater core. thanks for the reply though. knowing my luck the core will go out soon enough. so has any body had water from when it rains or from when you wash the car leak into the car from up there. thanks
