walbro 255 in tank install?

I am about to tackle this project this weekend. I heard that the stock pump is encased in a plasctic container. Do I need this container? Is there any tips or tricks that I should know about? This is my first time doing this and I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks, Tom

Racetronix has a complete writeup on installing the Walbro pump on their website. It includes the advantages of re-using the stock plastic bucket.
