and the headers of your choice... would you really need to purchase an aftermarket catback exhaust? I mean, if you don't care about how your exhaust flows/sounds when you have the cutouts closed, and all that matters to you is flow/sound with them open... then you don't need anything other than your headers and cutouts... correct?
Re: Wait Wait Wait... If you have your QTEC cutouts...
Why wouldnt you just spend a couple hundred on a catback if its going to create a better flow whitch will lead to better gas milage and with gas prices how they are today it will pay for itself shortly
Re: Wait Wait Wait... If you have your QTEC cutouts...
A catback with polished tips at least looks good I guess.
I've been wondering the same thing myself now that I have cutout along with a Magnaflow catback and headers.

Re: Wait Wait Wait... If you have your QTEC cutouts...
Not sure where in his post he said he was going to keep the cutout open most of the time.. Im pretty sure once he hears now anoyyingly loud it is with it open most of the time hes going to want to keep it closed a majority of the time anyway
Re: Wait Wait Wait... If you have your QTEC cutouts...
A catback system is usualy the first bolt on upgrade people usualy do for to many reasons to list...
Im not saying you have to go out and buy a $700 borla catback, get yourself a nice slp system for around $300 and youll be more then happy

Re: Wait Wait Wait... If you have your QTEC cutouts...
I spent $300 on the hooker, plus $150 for my cutout. The only time my cutout is closed is when I come home late, so I don't wake the town up.
I Almost regret spending the $300 for the hooker catback, but it still sounds mean even with the cutout closed... but it seems so quiet. :-p

Re: Wait Wait Wait... If you have your QTEC cutouts...
Some people don't want to drive around all the time with their cutouts open -- if you plan to, then might as well keep stock. Only reason then is if you want something in between "cutout-loud" and "close-to-stock-loud".
If you do keep the stock - it would be cool to have such a dramatic difference with them open/closed.
From what I have heard and read - driving around with dual open cutouts right after the headers isn't the safest thing to do - many people have different opinions for different reasons on this.
