I swapped out the steering column from my wrecked 95 Trans am to the 95 that i just bought and now it will not start. I get power but it wont crank and the security light is on. I tried to disable the vats through tunercats but it didn't help. Anyone know what i need to do to fix this??

 

Thanks to shoeboxs site i was able to get it to start. Now i just need to get the security light to go off. Dont know what we would do without that website. There is just so much info on there. Thanks again

 

Sounds like you might have bypassed the TDR to get it to crank. If you want to get rid of the security light, you will have to satisfy the VATS module's need for the key pellet resistance (resistor bypass or correct key resistance).
