turn signal problem 1994 firebird

the turn signal bracket on my 1994 firebird broke, not the lever but the bracket the lever mounts to and i dont know what to call it when i call an auto parts store if anybody knows what im talking about and knows what to call it please let me know.

If you are talking about the thing inside the steering column,mine broke as well,and I used JB Weld glue to fix this.You'll have to be a surgeon to do this,but use a lot of it,but let it stand overnight,even though the directions says it dries in 4 minutes.You have to mix the two containers together(I used a piece of cardboard),but work quickly because it dries real fast.I held the mechanism for four minutes till it took.Don't just glue the two pieces together in the traditional sense,but completely surround the broken piece(kinda like a clamp).Hope this helps.
