Turn Signal Issues...not typical

All of the below happens only with the headlight switch turned onto the parking lamps or headlights. Everything works fine when the switch is completely off.

When I attempt to use my turn signals, either my front lights will blink or my taillights will flash.

If I move the lever right until it engages the signal, the fronts flash but rear lights do not.

If I push it any farther past that initial point, the front switch to the high power circuit but do not flash (rear will flash).

I have checked the flashers, grounds, and DRL module with no success. Take note that I have LEDs in place of all my exterior lamps which were working perfectly for many many months.

I tried replacing the front turn signals with regular lamps to see what happens...and my fronts will flash all the time but the rears will turn totally out but then come back on.

Any ideas?

I had this happen a few years back. I ended up replacing all the bulb sockets in the rear. Fixed the problem.

Having the same issue.
How did you determine which sockets needed replacing? (or that any needed replacing?)
I may just grab a whole rear harness from a parts car or something.

I just replaced them all with new ones. Plus they use the new push in type bulbs not the old twist in kind. If you get a harness your just going to end up with the same problem as the old style bulbs rust and I think that was part of the problem.

Cool, thanks for the tip.

Where did you find the replacement connectors?

O'reilly's or Auto Zone or someplace like that. They are pretty common and not very expensive. Just make sure you get the thin ones as the space behind the tail light doesn't leave much room. The part number I used was 85881 "Conduct Tite". You will have to change to a 3157 bulb as well. Like I said much better bulb and wont rust as fast. Pretty straight forward just cut off the old ones them splice in the new.
