Lightbulb turn signal doesn't always work

i have a '97 camaro rs. the running lights work great; both sides stay lit up at all times. the right passenger side turn signal works great. both taillight signals work great. the problem is the front driver's side turn signal. id say about 75% of the time it works fine, but the other 25% of the time when i turn on the signal the light will just go out (no blinking, no running light). im thinking its a problem with the fuse but i really have no clue. any help would be appreciated

Re: turn signal doesn't always work

Probably a poor connection at a socket.

Ditto, check for corrosion at the socket and wire connectors.

That's the problem with mine. I clean it out and it works great for a couple of days and then it stops working. Is there a way to fix it without having to cut and splice in a new socket?

Re: turn signal doesn't always work

The corrosion is caused by moisture, so anything you can do to keep the socket clean and dry. After I replaced mine, I covered it with dialectic grease. Seems to be holding up fairly well.
