Lightbulb Trying to put a Homelink transmitter in. Questions?

First. Has anyone did or thought about doing this? I pulled a Homelink from a 96 Park Avenue to put in my 96 Z. I guess I need the wiring diagram from Buick to find out what the 3 wires are that power it. (black, brown and orange). Then splice it in from there. Any ideas?

I might be mistaken but I thought the early ones built into Ford visors, 2001, were battery operated. I might be thinking of the built in voice recorder in the Fords. That would be an easy install. I know the point of the visor kind is to have a clean intagrated look but here is another route if it doesn't work out. Here is a link to new battery controlled transmitters. I would think the batteries would last 3 years (mine have) so that shouldn't be to bad. http://www.opendoorsandmore.com/
