Traction Control Questions

So I just got my car out of storage and had some issues getting it started. I found out that it was the fuel pump that went bad. I got a Carquest pump and also changed the fuel filter. Now getting to my question, I've had the car for a little over a year now and never had to turn off the traction control before, it was always off, now everytime I turn my car on the traction control turns on. I noticed this today when I tried to spin my tires and felt the gas pedal push back towards me. I automatically thought of the ASR switch but never had to disengage it before. My question is how can I set it so the ASR is always off? Thanks guys!

Re: Traction Control Questions

It's supposed to default to on when you start the car, and it has to be disabled every time. I'm not sure why it was off before. Maybe when you dropped the tank you moved a sensor wire on the rear that wasn't working before??? SLP used to sell something that flipped it the other way around, don't know if they still do though.
