Towing 4th gen rolling chassis

Just doing some follow up info. Is it correct that you should not use a tow dolly to tow a Fbody because of it not having a tourqe arm or Transmission. I know that with the automatics you have to disconect the the driveshaft anyway but that leaves the Tourq arm, but what if its not there could you still use a tow dolly? Thanks guys.

Re: Towing 4th gen rolling chassis

I bought a rolling chassis from a board member in NY and towed in on my dolly to get it home. It had no eng or trans but the torque arm was there, dispite no mount it stayed against the top of the tranny tunnel. This happens because the springs are mounted behind the centerline of the axle.

Put the trans mount in there just in case so the torque arm cant move past that point...but you should be fine as long as the rear end is secure.
