I was quoted $350 labor to install the headers and connect it to my existing exhaust. if you figure in $500 for parts.. $850-900 total. He quoted you something astronomical. Shop around.

Found another shop, getting Kooks headers, new Ypipe with hi flow cat , installed, dyno run before and after--total = $1900.00 much better deal than the $2150 with no dyno runs and Hooker headers. Now just gotta figure out how to come up with all the money. I have a 1970 Chevelle 12bolt with all new parts to be installed that I bought along time ago and it's just collecting dust in the garage. Guess it's gonna go on ebay.

With Labor rates in most of the country running $75-100 an hour. Any shop that will install headers in an F body for $350 is desperate for business. I'd do it for that on the side to help finance my hobby.

We charge $300-$350 for install of LT's and reprogram ECU for rear 02's/AIR/EGR and what not... We're not desperate for busines either :-D

If you are mechanically inclined, do it yourself. That is SO much $$ to be dishing out. I did it with jack stands in my driveway. Take steering off, unbolt drivers side motor mount (to lift engine a bit), some other small bits. Really its not bad. I bolted on the y pipe and drove to muffler shop for some welding.

Never heard of ACA. I haven't made my appt yet. Is ACA a full service parts etc or do they just do the labor you bring your own parts. Plus do they have a Dyno like Tillman to check it out. They are going to give me a before an after run to see the difference. I'm psyched to get it done just need to get the rest of the money, I'm short right now as I'm lending my stepson money to get a 95 Z.

The do sell parts although I'm not sure what all they carry. I bought my diablo tuner from them for a better price than anywhere on the web. They also have a dyno and also have the special set-up to be able to do dyno tunes using the diablo programmer.....which might be useful if you are adding headers.
