Tire size

What size tires will fit a 17x11 wheel and 17x9.5 wheel? I'm not looking for anything crazy just a nice all around tire. What size tires will fit on a stock 16" F body wheel, i plan on buying 2 DR for the stockers down the road.

your 17" will hold anything fro m 275 (what stock 17"s run) to 315(with mild hammering)

your 16" will run 245-255..

Nittos make 245's
BFG DRs are 255's

I'm not good with tire sizes so bare with me. Will a 275/40/17 fit alright on a 17x9.5" wheel? I am going with Torque Thrust IIs. I was thinking about 17x11s in the rear but that might be a bit too much and I can't rotate tires and are $$. What is a good brand tire that is not too expensive but serves its purpose?

go 275s on your 17x9.5 and 315s on the 17x11 if you get them
stock, don't go above 255 like sabre81 said
i would just do 245 instead of paying for an extra 10 cm
jmo

I believe is 10 mm not 10Cm. 245Cm of tire is alot like 2.5 meters!!! hehe. So its 245mm or 255 mm

Just thought i corrected that

The best tires for the $$ that I have found (and consider that I have tested everything worthwile from Dunlop, Yokohama, Pirelli, Kumho, Nitto, BFG, Goodyear..)

I say the Yokohama AVS ES100's stand out as the value leader.
When $ is an issue these are your tires..
Simple psycho math here:
Buy cheaper tires + Get better traction = Harder driving

Harder Driving - Wear = Need for new tires sooner

Buy tires more often but spend less then you are running a newer tire more often.

You end up with a safer ride with killer performance.. I am at just under 15K miles on my AVS ES100s. You can tell the difference in how my driving has become more aggressive since I have feathered the front tires from pushing hard in turns. After a rotation its all good. I am very happy with these and will be getting them again.. Probably at about 20K mile mark.. My GSC's lasted 28K miles. I do run at the track but do not do burnouts. I do also push the car hard but never abuse it. Tires usually last me a decent amount of time.

For a high end tire, my Pirelli P Zero rock! I love those tires.
