Times at track suck, where to start?

Alright, I went to the track again today and my times still suck. I'm sure its 80% drivers error, but I'm sure tration had a good deal to do with it. All my times were on 16" Eagle GPS with me just spinning them a few times, no real burnout, no clutch deump, either. Mods in sig

Seems like my traction just plain sucks. I was fishtailing and spinning like crazy. So I figure I need some DR's or at least a better street tire. But what would be the best place to start with suspension? SFC's, torque arm, what? Thanks.

EDIT: Please don't get mad for posting in the wrong section. This could fit in suspension, wheels/tires, drag techniques, my mods, your a dumb@ss, etc.

Yep, you have to get that horsepower to the ground. Not that familiar with the 4th gens as far as chasis mods are concerned but a good set of drag tires will work wonders. I use the Mickey Thompson ET Street radials. Made a big difference with my 3rd gen. Allen

Get some traction first, and then have a seasoned driver take your car down for a couple passes. Then you know what it's capable of, and what you need to work on.

Adj. Torque arm, LCA's, and rear sway bar...If you want to get crazy...QA1 adjustable shocks.

I say before you put money into just work on the launch...

and from what I have heard... REALLY consider taking a trip to gainesville and running there. Making up a list of all the tracks in FL, in a FL section on another board I had people tell don't list Jacksonville that it was the worst track in the world. And that most people hit up gainesville.

at the track drive around the water box, give the tires a quick spin, get dirt, dust off them, and a little heat, but don't do a standing break stand.

line up, stall up the motor and let it out but feather the clutch out, don't dump it, and just go down the track.

takes a little practice to get feathering it right.
