check out part #10271371, I'm pretty sure that's it, no need to buy the boot and the retainer together.

93-96 are the same and 97-02 are the same. Won't work for all.
97+ 'birds use the same boot as 97+ Camaro.

but it does prove that the retainer itself can be had w/o the boot, now can we find one for the 93-96? I know a lot of people on the board have been looking for this, I hope it helps

has anyone bought this and actually proven it ???

I'd be interested in buying a spare I suppose, although it does seem easier to me IMO to buy it as a whole and just install it that way, as my boot was torn and the clip was broke...

This is a good find though and I'm sure it will help many !

Yes it's good to check to see if the part is sold on it's own. When I broke the button on my arm rest lid I thought I was going to have to pay $70 for a new lid, sure enough they sold the button seperately.
