My light is out and a new bulb does not work. When I removed the old one's I noticed the sockets were burnt like there was a power surge to them that blew it. I need to know were the wiring runs to from inside the spoiler. Does it connect to one of the other brake lights? is there a fuse in the wiring to the third brake light? My other two work fine as well as all the other lights. I think there is a short in the wiring to the third brake light but I can't figure out where it goes. Also the wiring I see in the spoiler looks fine. Thanks for the help

 

you might need new pig tails and there is a fuse that runs the hi mount brake light...the same on almost any car, good luck and hope it helps a tiny bit

 

Any idea where that fuse is? Is it in the spoiler or somewhere that I can actually get to?

 

should be in your fuse box with the rest of the fuses

 

I checked my fuses and their all good and all my lights work except the Hi mount brake light. I put a meter on it and didn't get any power and for kicks I put it on one that did and got 11.1 volts with the car off. So I guess what I need to know (as I asked before) where does the wiring run from/to. As far as I can see it runs through the spoiler and comes out the top center of the hatch and into the car by the dome light. Any one know where it goes from there? Thanks

you check all the fuse boxes? Two under the hood, and the one inside...

 

all good on the inside and the one on the outside to (drivers side) fuse & relay box. where is the second one?
