Which of these mufflers are a straight through design?....

I have been listening to a lot of sound clips with different kinds of exhaust systems installed on stock LS-1's to get a good idea what sounds deep and the least raspy. I know this is always an opinion based question but out of Magnaflow, Hooker, GMMG, and SLP which have straight through designs and a deep sound to them. Some of the ones I have listened to get a little raspy and distorted as the rpm's increase. I know it's hard to judge by sound clips so what are your experiences with these exhaust and any others you might recommend.

A glass pack is the only straight flow design that I know of. You can look right down it.

Would you care to give us your definition of "straight through" for us? I ask becauseas I recall (and I could be wrong), straight through defines how the pipes come out of the muffler. You can have a straight through design, or a cross flow design.

All are deep sounding muffler systems.

Straight through means the inlet comes in one end and the outlet(s) come out the end, where cross flow would mean that the inlet comes in one end, and the outlets are on ends -one on the same end as the inlet and one on the opposite.

Straight through as a muffler term doesn't mean unobstructed -just less turbuloent.

The Magnaflow and Hooker are crossflow traditional shaped mufflers.
GMMG uses dual bullet mufflers, and the SLP -the Loudmouth at least, uses a single bullet muffler -IIRC.

I'd suggest you poke around all the applicable websites and have a look at the designs. (Be warned most Magnaflow pictures show a "stock" photo with a true straight through design, while the real system for LT1 and LS1 cars is a crossflow design).
