Is there ANY WAY to make our window motors faster?

Our cars can run the 1/4th mile quicker than our windows can raise up.

I was wondering this because the motor itself, asside from that resistor is a pretty well crafted motor. Is there any way to makeshaft something to make it turn faster? Will applying more power / voltage do it? The Corvettes of the same year have fast motors and so do the new Camaro's...

I was thinking of applying an electrical coil into the positive wire just before the motor to increase the voltage going on, would that help?

How would that increase voltage?

Increasing voltage will spin the motor faster, by either wiring direct to the battery, an inverter style voltage booster, or mo batteries.

What would be a safe bet for a voltage booster?

a friend of mine wired a lightweight battery up to the alternator and had it only supply power to the windows...did alright.

basically its like adding a battery for a audio system...take the power line from the door switch and run them to the secondary battery...just dont link battery 1 and 2 together instead wire the altenator to each, the primary battery still keeps its charge because the only time the other battery draws any energy is to use the windows....the lightweight battery is a good choice due to size weight and power because all it is used for is the windows...i wish he still had his camaro to get more info on...but he sold it early last year.

So I'd need a lightweight 12 Volt Battery. Positive cable goes into the Alternator, from the Alternator it goes to the positive wire of the power window, then negative wire of power window goes to the negative terminal of the battery right?

Just do the relay mod. Mine roll up and down rocket fast.
Do a search for the install instructions.
