T Tops Question

Hi there,

I've looked at a few SS's with T tops, do all of them come with some sort of shade that is the same fabric as the headliner? Cause i've seen some with the headliner on the T's, and some with just tinted glass where you can see the sky. Thanks a lot, and does anyone have build numbers, like how many non-t top models are out there? Thanks again, this forum is great.

-JT

Re: T Tops Question

Mine has T-tops, and it came with the sunshades you are referring to. I absolutely LOVE mine as it gets over a hundred degrees here in the summer. HUGE difference in temperature. When I put them in (they just fit between the tops and the frame) you really cant tell from the inside that there are windows above you, so I feel like I have the best of both worlds

I believe that you are referring to the actual glass top that is tinted, not the sunshades.

Re: T Tops Question

Not all t-top cars have the sunshades. It was an option.

they attach to the glass with a couple pieces of velcro.

Re: T Tops Question

I know it was a $25 option on my 94, but I thought they eventually made them "standard" on the T-top cars...... maybe in 1996????

They were standard on later cars but not sure what year that started either.

I never understood the velcro strips on the t-top glass, it always looked tacky in my opinion.
