T-top inserts

In the center of the top. There's one in front and one in back and there made out of plastic. Does anyone know what these are called and where I can get some. I found nothing on a search. Thanks.

You mean the little semi-soft plastic strips that seal the gaps at the front and back ends of the T-top divider strip? Don't know where you would buy them, but thought it might help narrow down the specific pieces you are asking about.

Are you talking about the actual plastic inserts you can buy to go in the T-tops to keep sunlight out? All the major Camaro vendors have them.

Yes that's them.

The front one on mine got whacked with an ice scraper. I'd like to replace it. I made a temporary "repair" by cutting and folding some black electrical tape, so the missing chunk is not so visible.

I suspect they are sold as part of the complete center strip. Looks like a trip to a salvage yard might be the most effective way to find a replacement.

Your local dealer parts department can probably find it for you. I'm missing the back one on my 96 so post in here if you find anything out.

It has not caused any leaks or anything when it rains.

You gotta love the search feature.

I can't seem to find any picture of how these are supposed to be installed.
I have the rear piece, but it's out. The front piece is loose.

Could someone with intact and installed front and rear t-top plastic pieces please post close up pics with the tops off? A side angle would be nice.

I think I can glue these in place after softening lightly with heat, since the tops appear to go beneath the tabs, but I want to make sure they're positioned correctly.
