Swap to different GM torque converter

Howdy again guys n gals,..my 2000Z-SS is getting a mild cam upgrade and I'd like to do an equally mild upgrade to a different application GM torque converter to the one GM labels a high stall (1900-2200 for Trailblazers) which is all the step up from the 1400-1500 that propels the 4L60E from the factory...has anyone else done this ?and if so please elaborate on the results? I'm a poor man so spending several hundred on a new Yank or TCI unit is out of the question and most don't make a unit in the exact range I want which is 2100-2300....thanks for your help cuz I only have enough money to do it right and cheap as possible the first time
