Stupid question (dash pad)
Stupid question (dash pad)
What exactly is a dash pad? If someone is selling a 1994 firebird dash pad with airbags does this mean they are selling a complete 1994 dash complete to swap into another car? I know this sounds like a dumb question but Im stumped and Id be pissed if I got it off ebay and it turned out to just be the top dash board only or something.
Re: Stupid question (dash pad)
The dash pad is what you consider the dash board. Right behind the plastic on the cluster from a pillar to a pillar. I don't know how well I described that...Ahhh heres a good one, it's the thing that has the defrost vent on it and it extends the width of the vehicle.

Re: Stupid question (dash pad)
If the auction says "complete with airbags" then I'm gonna assume they mean the whole dash. There's actually only one airbag IN the dash itself as the driver's side one is installed in the steering wheel. I'm guessing that this auction you're looking at doesn't have any pics in it? I think before I were to bid on something like this, I'd ask the seller to e-mail you some pics so you know exactly what all you're getting in this deal. There are other things that changed with the 97 Camaro dash configuration besides the dash shape itself, including the A/C and headlight control panels, the radio and the gauge cluster. If it doesn't come with those things then you're looking at additional expense.
