Stupid battery cable question
Stupid battery cable question
Ok, so the new motor is in and i'm starting to do the wiring working from bottom up. I don't quit see where all the battery cable connections go. I see the + cable has two leads coming off the head of the cable, and I know one goes to the alternantor but where does the other go...ground??? Then the - cable obviously you ground on of the wires but where do you ground the wire by the starter? or do you also connect it to the starter? All the drawings I see shows it going to the block behind the compressor, but the way the wires have been routed it looks like it would be closer to the starter than that. Can anyone help???
Re: Stupid battery cable question
The positive cable goes to the starter, alternator and junction on the RH shock tower (red plastic cover). If you connect one of the positive leads to ground, you are going to have one heck of a short and a big meltdown
. The negative cable goes to the block by the RH engine mount.
