Hey all,
I just got this strut tower brace for my Z which has the ss hood. Now I have a little prob fitting it in there. My AC line has a sensor sticking out of it and it is blocking me from getting the brace on, on the passenger side.
Any advice or easy fix will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the same hood and had to drill part of the holes out of the brace to make the studs fit. The car had some front end damage and i thought that caused the fitment issue. I then held the drivers side up as high as possible and carefully held the AC lines back and got it on. It was close but it fit and works great. It is designed to fit straight down but can't because of the lines.

Loosen all 4 bolts/nuts on the passenger side. Jack the car and force the wheel down until the studs retract into the fender. Place the the shock tower brace over the holes, and let the studs pop up through the holes.

ok, I took another look. It seems to me that I am going to have to take off that a/c line that is in my way(the line on the bottom with the sensor sticking out), and flip it so that the sensor ends up in another spot out of my way.
-it sucks though b/c I just had my a/c fixed and charged in the fall.

Remove the sensor that's blocking it. According to the instructions I got with my Spohn STB, there is a valve behind it and refrigerant will not leak out, and you should be able to remove it easily with a pair of pliers. You'll want to plug it back in when you're done if you want your a/c to work properly. BTW I'm just quoting the instructions, I didn't have to do anything on mine except move an a/c line clamp out of the way.Originally Posted by afr lt1

That AC line will rotate which may get the sensor out of your way; you may need to slightly loosen the end hardware to get it to rotate, without loosing any refriderent.
